Looking at this months planning applications, there is not much of interest to landlords in Havant, Fareham or Gosport and only a couple of items in Portsmouth. However, there do seem to be a large number of C3 to C3/C4 applications going through the system, so someone must be getting their paperwork in order....
Probably the major item in Portsmouth is the approval of the planned conversion of Europa House at The Hard (formerly Pall Europe's headquarters) into student accomodation providing 260 rooms (and thus potentially freeing 60-70 local houses from HMO usage). This site is adjacent to that where Bouygues development are planning a 'Portsmouth Shard' incorporating private residential units and student accommodation, plus possibly an hotel. No dates have yet been published for completion of either scheme.
The only other item of note is the approval to convert a private dwelling (C3) to a 9 bed HMO (C4) in Kirby Road, North End.
