So it's a rainy Sunday morning in Gosport and I have been reflecting upon the current state of the property education sector here in the UK. Like everyone else my Facebook and other social feed's are flooded with offers of free seminars, no money down deals, promises of a 7 figure salary or business, health, wealth and happiness!

I even get people randomly message me on messenger asking whether I am interested in property. I politely ask them to maybe look at my profile or our company website!

When I did either of my degree's neither of them came with that amazing set of guarantee's. So I'm often wondering why property education has become so focused on promising the impossible. One course or seminar or weekend will not make you a millionaire within the property world. Applied knowledge and hard work has the potential to get you somewhere after all it took 17 years of practice as a Town Planner for me to consider doing development and even then only with the right team around me!

Now at TPX we have always take the view that we never promise anything....we can't! If we knew exactly what the future held for a site I would have won the lottery by now. All we can show you is how to use the system. How to play the game as I like to call it. That's why, when considering a replacement to the Land and Planning Workshop we used to run with others we decided to go in a different direction. Offering education should not be about multiple upsells and MLM. Its should be about delivering the value you promise with no end pitch, no upsell, no next step! These are the core of the Anti-Guru principles. Have a great and restful Sunday everyone.
