Donation To Catch 22 On Behalf Of Members
We have made a donation of £250 to the charity, Catch 22 in memory of former PDPLA chair, Julian Clokie who passed away recently.
We are sure you are all aware of the sad passing of Julian Clokie, a long-term PDPLA member and ex-chairman, who worked tirelessly for the vulnerable and those less fortunate members of society.
He also chaired the Homeless Focus Group in Portsmouth for most of its existence, providing support and help to the disadvantaged and vulnerable people in and around the city. He gave loans to people who would never be in a position to pay them back and further helped them by taking them to the Benefits Office, speaking up for them and assisting them in making their claims.
Julian never wavered from his Quaker beliefs and was a generous and caring landlord, providing support and even food to his own vulnerable tenants.
