Aquind Interconnector Progress
Portsmouth Seafront Master Plan
Evicted By Zoom Cameo
The Planning Inspectorate have published a schedule for reviews into the plans for the proposed electrical interconnector between England and France which is proposed to come ashore in Eastney and go up through the city to Purbrook and Waterlooville terminating at Lovedean. See full details here.
The 'master plan' for all developments along the waterfront from Portsmouth Dockyard to Hayling Ferry has been published and was reviewed at the council's cabinet meeting this month. So if you have any property or plans within a short walk of the seafront, it is recommended that you check on plans for your area (and of course, discuss any issues with your local councillors before it is literally set in stone...) See the full plan here (all the meat is in Appendix 2)
As we debate the need for appropriate replacements for Section 21, how to update the court system such that it works in today's world and whether we can use mediation to avoid issues ending in a courtroom, others have gone for more 'Showbiz' solutions....
Since Covid-19 many actors and celebrities have been sitting around with no work and no income and for many, a new service called Cameo has been a godsend. How it works is simple, you as the customer search Cameo for an actor or character of your choosing and then you hire that character to record a video message for you which will be delivered to the person you specify. Many will go for an actor from a favourite comedy series to deliver a birthday message 'in character' to a loved one, but one (American) landlord chose to use YouTuber Tana Mongeau to evict his tenant (And Tana, having been evicted herself, delivered it with some regret and feeling) - see it here: https://www.cameo.com/v/FB9mo75GD
